Chevrolet introduced 5 new wagons for 1958.

The Nomad was back and still the top of the line wagon but with it 4 doors it was not as sporty as the 1955, 1956 and 1957 Nomads. The outside and interior trim package on the Nomad was the same as the Bel Air series.

The Brookwood 4 door model easily carried nine passenger and looked great also. It was also available in a 4 door 6 passenger.

The thrift priced Yeoman was offered as a 2 door 6 passenger and 4 door 6 passenger station wagon.

Chevy ads stated that "You never had handsomer reasons to move into a new wagon". The 1958 Chevrolet station wagons were trim, low, wide and nine inches longer! A larger lift gate curved clear around at the corners and was hinged into the roof. This made for easier loading and larger size loads. Chevrolet's new standard full coil suspension made for a extra soft ride. Or you could choose the ultimate of a real air ride with level air suspension at an extra cost. Another Chevy ad stated that "Bumps get swallowed up in cushions of air and your wagon automatically keeps its normal level, regardless of how heavy the load".

All 1958 Chevy station wagons models had one tail light on each side housed in abbreviated alcoves, which were made smaller to accommodate the rear gate. Approximately 187,000 station wagons were built in 1958.
